week of learning & meow!

Last week, our learning included:

Activities on things like weather & symmetry.  (Though, honestly, in Oklahoma we already know a LOT about weather.  Still fun for A&J.)

Videos, games, and reading about the USA.

... and more!  That's all the photos I took though. :D

We also read: Plant A Little Seed by Bonnie Christensen, My Father Knows the Name of Things by Jane Yolen, Soft House by Jane Yolen, Grandpa Green by Lane Smith, Yuko-Chan & the Daruma Doll by Sunny Seki, Brother Sun Sister Moon by Katherine Peterson, Earth Mother by Ellen Jackson, Nightsong by Ari Berk, Moon Forest by Patricia McCarthy.

The kids seemed to enjoy the adorable bat in Nightsong who used echo-location to be a truly adventurous explorer... and then returned home to his mama.  K was also fascinated with the concept of a daruma doll and did some googling after.

Since I didn't have as many photos to share, here's Willa Doodle claiming a blankie that J left in the floor. :D
